Step 1:

After thoroughly cleaning your porch or patio surface, use clean, damp cloth to remove all dust and debris.

Step 2:

Determine the location and size of the painted rug; use painter's tape and tape off the rug's outer edge; apply pressure to tape to ensure a tight seal.

Step 3:

Determine the position of the rug accent border by starting at the taped outer edge, measuring inward equally on all four sides and lightly making marks with the pencil; use the level to draw lines connecting the accent border; affix painter's tape to the inside edge and apply pressure to tape to ensure a tight seal.
Tip: The width of the accent border is determined by the width of the painter's tape; for a narrow accent border, use a narrow painter's tape.

Step 4:

Use the woven roller to paint within the taped areas.

Optional: Add a second coat of paint for added durability.

Step 5:

Remove painter's tape while paint is still damp; allow paint to dry, following suggested drying time on paint can label.
