Additional Supplies
- Minwax® Paste Finishing Wax
- Purdy® XL® nylon-polyester brush
- Soapy water
- Lint-free cloths
- Medium-grit sandpaper

Painting:
Clean surface with soapy water. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry. Apply Chalky Finish with brush. Allow to dry for at least one hour. Depending on desired look, apply a second coat for additional coverage.
Tip: Test a small, hidden area first to determine if sanding or additional surface prep is required.
Distressing (optional):
Using medium-grit sandpaper, sand the surface as much or as little as you like.
Tip: Distress areas that would naturally become worn over time – edges and corners, and around knobs or drawer pulls.
Finishing:
Remove any sanding dust from the surface. Apply a thin, even coat of Paste Finishing Wax with a clean cloth. Allow wax to dry thoroughly (10-15 minutes) and polish with a clean cloth, an electronic polisher or a buffer.
Tìp: An easy way to apply a thin, even coat of wax is to place a small amount between two layers of cheesecloth and apply only the amount that seeps through as you rub the surface.
